Drama Classes

Drama therapy is used primarily to help people sort through and express emotions. Drama classes are spent identifying different emotions and learning healthy ways express them. Classes also work in addition to expressing emotions, classes also work with students to help with basic diction and vocal projection when speaking. The tools learned with these exercises are then progressed into character development where students can learn to create and imitate an assortment of characters that can be incorporated into different games, exercises and on-stage productions. Based on the level of participation a student desires, opportunities are given for all of our actors to acquire leading roles that would not be available in typical theater programs, giving them chances for greater growth and personal accomplishment. Theater lessons are integrated into our production rehearsals that take place on Mondays from 1pm-4pm during our September-April semesters.
