Backlight Kids is designed for younger artists (ages 7-17) with and without IDD who are just beginning to explore creativity, performance, and self-expression. Through theater games, music, movement, and storytelling, students build confidence, communication skills, and a love for being part of a creative community.

This program creates a supportive, joyful environment where kids can try new things, make friends, and discover what they’re capable of, both on stage and beyond.

Backlight Kids will have opportunities to participate in “The Little Mermaid” with adult Backlight artists and local pros.
