Creative Movement
Creative Movement classes are for students who require direct assistance. These classes focus on seated movement, singing & clearly expressing emotions. Creative Movement students must provide an aid to attend class with them and they will have the opportunity to participate in Backlight’s big Spring Musical, “The SpongeBob Musical”, as they perform the roles and songs/dances of the Electric Skates!
SpongeBob performance week schedule:
- Dress Rehearsals – May 29th or May 30th (time TBD)
- Performances – May 31st @ 2pm & June 1st @ 2pm
*SpongeBob participation dates may be split depending on student enrollment. Please reserve all dates in the meantime
*Dress Rehearsal & Performances at Christ Presbyterian Academy’s Soli Deo Center
- Thursdays from 3pm-4pm
- January 8-June 1

Glee Club

Let it Snow! Beat the heat and join us for songs and movement pertaining to our Glee Club’s “Snow” themed holiday set. Students will be learning songs with accompanied seated movement as they prepare to perform aboard the Backlight Productions float in the downtown Franklin Christmas Parade.
Cost
Registration=$50 (covers cost of costume & float elements)
Monthly Tuition=$125/month (September-December) OR Pay in full – $500
- Classes on Wednesdays 11am – 1pm
- Classes start September 4, 2024 and end on December 18, 2024
- Performance Date: December 7, 2024

Dance Team

Join the Backlight Productions competitive dance team as they train for their annual competition at Encore DCS in Chattanooga. Backlight Dancers focus on skills and techniques that improve coordination and balance and are used in choreographed dances that are performed in the competition set. The Backlight Dance Team is suited for experienced dancers and caters routines to meet every dancer where they are.
Cost
Registration=$100 (covers cost of costume)
Monthly Tuition=$125/month (September-April) OR Pay in Full – $1,000
- Classes on Wednesdays: 1:30-3:30pm
- Classes start September 4, 2024 and end on April 23, 2025
- Performance Dates: April 25-27, 2025
- Performance Location: Encore DCS Chattanooga, TN
